Many people seem to think that God still sends earthquakes and hurricanes and diseases as punishments for sin. This superstition should never come from the mouths of Christians, not after God emptied the cup of his wrath completely upon the cross, leaving only his Grace and Mercy as free gift to all. You may reap what you sow for your evil deeds, but this a natural consequence, not divine wrath. Jesus diverted all questions about the divine wrath behind natural and moral disasters by teaching that no group is more sinful, more deserving of wrath than any other. Rather, God is at all time and all places calling people to turn away from evil. Luke 13:1-5
